Heading west, through the Dorset countryside we make our way into Purbeck, the gateway to the Jurassic Coast. Full of thatch cottages, 17th century english villages and castles which has been fought over for hundreds of years.

Durlston Park

First stop is Durlston Park. Known for its wildlife and gateway to the Jurassic Coast. The castle here built in the Victorian period and the 40 ton Great Globe, one of the largest globes in the world. The globe was situated in 1891.

Corfe Castle

A must whilst on the Jurassic Coast is visiting Corfe Castle and the village of Corfe. Rich in 1000 years of history, betrayal and treachery! From Edward being stabbed in the back to William the Conqueror keeping the Crown Jewels here.

Durdle Door

The famous natural arch and a beautiful secluded cove; their existence owed to the collision of continents and the birth of the Alps millions of years ago. Durdle Door is a must-see for any trip to this region.

Lulworth Cove

Lulworth Cove is world famous for its unique geology and land-forms including the Lulworth Crumple and Stair Hole. Thousands of people each year come to enjoy the panoramic views and crystal clear waters on this stretch of the UNESCO World Heritage Site.

St Catherine's Mount

One of the best views in Dorset. High on Abbotsbury hilltop sits St Catherine’s Chapel, a barrel-vaulted 14th century chapel built by the monks of Abbotsbury Abbey as a place of pilgrimage and retreat. We take in the fantastic views of the abbey ruins and the 22 mile look back over Chesil Beach and the Fleet.

East Cliff

Then we visit the famous town where Broadchurch was filmed! On our way to Westbay in the Market town of Bridport. The golden strata of nearby East Cliff are one of the most distinctive features of the Jurassic Coast, and the area is very popular with walkers.
